Semi Abstract Soul
This piece is also part of the “God and man” series or “The obelisk concept”. I've done hundreds of these sketches where the entire concept is God surrounding man and the only other visible influences are a woman. The plan is to photograph every sketch and put them up when I get a chance.
When I look back at history and I read, and I study about the beginnings of time, from the earliest written history that we have, I find there to be nothing as suitable and compatible for a man as a female companion.
Man existed for some time, hundreds, if not thousands of years before women did. God saw that man was lonely, and without help so he created all the animals. As Adam was naming these animals and getting to know them God saw that there was still nothing suitable for man. So that tells me that in all the earth, there is nothing more precious, nothing more unique, nothing designed better for man than a woman.
Also, it's notable to point out that Man existed for some time before the Garden of Eden.
So, the one that is suitable for me, the one that I was made for and the one that was made for me is more precious than anything that exists on this earth. So, I believe all women fit into that category; but which one was made for me is the hard part. I still want to believe that one day I'll experience what that's like and that I won't rely on my own understanding when it comes to identifying that person.
The center monolith in this painting is a variant that appears in my work from early 2021. They begin to morph into more than just a standard obelisk. A foundation tends to appear as this painting shows. Sometimes the foundations are more elaborate than others but noticeably they begin showing up. The square open shapes to the left and right definitely represent women.
Since my divorce, there have been multiple choices in women appearing, often, but for some reason or another I just know they're not for me. So, I believe this painting represents all the different choices that have presented themselves in the form of women I meet, albeit they’re amazing, beautiful creatures, they are just not specifically for me.
